“Boulder, Colorado” evokes images of the picturesque foothills, winding mountain trails, and the evergreen-flecked Flatiron Mountains that frame our treasured city. However, Boulder is making quite the name for itself in the way of modern architecture. From custom homes to gorgeous offices, our city’s man-made structures are becoming equally as eye-catching as its natural features. Month of Modern Celebrates Innovation & Supports Non-Profits

Every year, Boulder’s Month of Modern seeks to celebrate innovative design while partnering with a local non-profit beneficiary. Additionally, this event highlights Boulder’s architecture firms and interior designers, giving them a platform on which they can share their work, inspirations, and experiences. This year, MoM will support the NoBo Art District, Street Wise Arts, and Historic Boulder. Proceeds from this event will go toward these nonprofits that work with and positively impact the myriad communities throughout Boulder.

Over the course of four weeks, MoM will host inspiring speakers including architects and interior designers, cultivate community with intimate fire-side chats, spark creativity through film nights, and encourage the sharing of knowledge through thought-provoking panels.

Tour of Homes

In addition to these events, MoM also puts on a fabulous Tour of Homes, where guests are invited to experience some of the city’s most visually captivating houses. Take in a smattering of various designs created by Boulder’s architectural community. Homes participating in this tour occupy all places on the spectrum from mansion to bungalow and everything in between. Whether you’re seeking inspiration for a home renovation or want the chance to see inside some of our city’s most impressive residences, this is an event you won’t want to miss. This tour is self-guided, meaning you can take all the time you want to enjoy a casual stroll through uniquely-crafted private residences.

Wrap Party & Awards

As a final hurrah, get your ticket to the MoM Wrap Party. Mix and mingle over craft cocktails and delicious food. Meet up with other modern design enthusiasts and dance the night away to live music. Awards will be presented by Todd Reed and will honor a Creative City exhibit winner, as well as a home from the Tour of Homes. This September 29, enjoy a cocktail hour like no other.
