Pretty Cool - Belden

This is the second location for Pretty Cool Ice Cream in Chicago. We fit the program into an existing small space with concrete floor and exposed brick wall. Many key design components from the last shop were kept such as the mural, the tiered seating and the LED color-changing signage. However, this time we chose plywood as the main material for the seating and counter. The continuous softened plywood edges not only imitate the melting ice cream but also add warmth to the space.
